Copper Enamel Dish (Lisa)
These unique bowls are based on Francis Bacon’s Sketch for a Portrait of Lisa (1955), the stark lines contrasted against the dark background calling back to the original oil on canvas piece. They are suitable for dry food, and can be washed with warm soapy water. These pieces were made as part of an exciting collaboration between Suzanne Seed and the Sainsbury Centre. Based on works by Francis Bacon in the Sainsbury Collection, Suzanne has used Bacon’s colour palette to produce a stunning collection of abstract enamelled copperware. Each item is hand-made at her studio in Norfolk and is exclusively available at the Sainsbury Centre Shop.
