Woman with tambur, seated on a branch of a tree
Life Story
The woman in this painting is wearing a filmy white jama and tight orange paijama. Her pearl ear-rings and bangles are typical South India style. Her side-view face is also Indian style. However, the blue-green background wash and the flower design of the border show Persian influence.
