Looking for things to do this Easter? We have got you covered, with something for all the family to enjoy.
Activity Baskets and Explorer Tools
New for Easter are our fantastical Truth Transmitters! Pick up a transmitter and take it around our What is Truth? exhibitions.
Talk your truth into the transmitter and look for transmission hotspots on the floor to get ideas. What would the artworks say if they could talk back? There is no reason to lie, as Truth Transmitters will keep your secrets for you – the only network they are connected to is your imagination!
Plus there are children’s activity baskets for families you to collect at reception for free, which include binoculars for eagle-eyed minds, drawing equipment and other exploratory objects.
Audio Experiences
Enjoy two immersive audio experiences on the Smartify app where you can discover new ways to meet the living art in our collection. You can also use the Smartify app to scan the objects within our Living Area to find out more.
Sculpture Park
Why not get out in the fresh air and explore our Sculpture Park? Set within the 350 acres of parkland featuring outstanding art, architecture and natural beauty, the Park is open daily.
You can download our Sculpture Park Pocket Map, which includes fun activities for all ages, or visit our Online Studio to find free resources which can be downloaded and used whilst visiting.
Exhibitions
Our current exhibitions in our lower galleries investigate What Is Truth?, with In Event of Moon Disaster, Liquid Gender and Jeffrey Gibson: no simple word for time. Plus take a look around our Mezzanine Gallery where Sediment Spirit: The Activation of Art in the Anthropocene is showing until 14 April.
Tickets
We know Easter holidays can often often pull on the purse strings, but our Universal Ticket works on a ‘Pay If and What You Can’ basis and gives you unlimited access to the permanent collection, lower and Mezzanine Galleries and sculpture park, plus parking is free.
Eating and Drinking
Enjoy stunning views of the surrounding greenery while you savour your coffee and cake at the Terrace Cafe or have a delicious lunch break at Modern Life Cafe.
Parking
Our car park opposite the main entrance gets full at peak times. If there is no space available, please use the West car park. Please park up for free and then register your car at Gallery Reception as usual. If you don’t mind having a short walk to the Centre, please consider using West car park first to allow other visitors to park closer to us.
